Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP)

Acting like a refrigerator in reverse a heat pump will draw heat from the ground and transfer it to your heating system. Since most of the energy is being provided free from the ground these systems are very efficient often returning 4 times the energy required to operate them.

They come in a range of sizes which are suitable from domestic houses to large commercial applications.

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

In a similar manner to a GSHP above an air source heat pump will draw heat from the air and transfer it to your heating system. Since most of the energy is being provided free from the air these systems are also very efficient, returning 3 times the energy required to operate them. Since they rely on the air the amount of energy available increases in the summer and decreases in the winter.

These system are especially good where the amount of ground available prohibits the use of ground source heat pumps.

They come in a range of sizes which are suitable from domestic houses to large commercial applications.
